know, I know…

I hear it all the time, "I like the feel (smell, weight) of the pages." "I like to fall asleep with a book on my chest."

That's okay, I'm not a Kindle evangelist. If you're happy with hard copies, good! But, if you're into cool gadgets, give the Kindle a try.

The Kindle is now down to $189.00 and works internationally on the 3G wireless network.

The Kindle's best features: ease of use, light weight, easy to read screen indoors or outdoors, 3G wireless connectivity, ability to read books, magazines, newspapers, blogs, Word documents, and best sellers. There are over 800,000 Kindle books, most under $12.99.

I just downloaded the free Kindle for PC software which makes Kindle books available on my PC outside the US.

Below are some books I read in Kindle format.

Visit the Kindle store to see many more.

New e-Book Reader
The Kindle is the cool, new way to read. A vast improvement over reading on a PDA. Over 950,000 titles are available.

Now Reading on Kindle PC
I LOVE Messages from the Masters: Tapping into the Power of Love - another incredible book by Brian Weiss, M.D. I'm reading very slowly...there's so much to learn!

Just Finished on Kindle PC
Too Many Men by Lily Brett was an insightful character study about a Shoah survivor and his daughter. I liked it.

Best Blog on Kindle
bookofjoe is my favorite blog. Dr. Joseph Stirt's creativity, flair, and good humor are pure joy!

Kindle Edition
I recently listened to Shirley MacLaine read the audiobook version of Sage-ing While Age-ing. I was captivated! It's a brave book by a brave women - whether you agree with her or not.

Facilitate Creative Thinking
Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking helped me listen to the "still small voice" that lurks in the back of my brain.

Techie Girl Mystery
I liked The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo a lot. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

Nice Norwegian Novel
Out Stealing Horses is a simple and elegant character study. A very pleasant read.

Non-fiction, For a Change
Three Cups of Tea: One Man's Mission to Promote Peace…One School at a Time is a fast and interesting read. Inspiring.
